GTC Mail-to-Fax: Features
The following opportunities are available via enchrypted customer area.
After registration you have access to our password protected GTC Interfax customer area. In addition to change your password, time zone, fax header line the following opportunities are given:
- No Installations: Send faxes from your regular email program with no installations. There are no phone lines to install, no modems, and no software. You can even fax from home using your Yahoo or Hotmail account, or from the road using your laptop computer.
- Excellent Rates: Our excellent rates combined with no setup charges and no monthly subscription fees offer you the best value around. Additionally, our virtual prepaid card mechanism offers built-in discounts for large quantities.
- Account Management: Get full control over your spending. You can view users' usage through web-based screens, check back invoices, and see precise transaction costs.
- Inbound Security & Authentication: Inbound faxes can be encrypted, thus assuring that even if they have been intercepted in transit, they cannot be read. Additionally, inbound faxes can arrive signed by Interfax, thus assuring that they have actually been received by us before being forwarded to you.
- Outbound Security & Authentication: Outgoing faxes can be encrypted, so that they cannot be read on their way from your computer to our servers. Additionally, we can authenticate senders by private key signatures, thus ensuring that no one else is using your account.
- Fax Broadcasts: Send faxes to multiple recipients as simply as sending an email. Interfax will handle lists of up to 500 simultaneous recipients.
- Deferred Transmission: Fax transmissions can be delayed to a later time by simply adding a modifier to the outgoing email's subject line.
- Programmatic Access for Developers: Access Interfax from any programmable environment using our Fax API. Interfaces to the service include an XML Web Service, COM Object, and simple Email.
- List Management: Manage your distribution lists online. Sending faxes to multiple recipients has never been easier. Manage any number of lists online, then simply send a single email message to list=listname@fax.tc (where listname is the name of the list you wish to fax to) and your faxes will automatically be sent to the whole list. View the progress of your fax broadcast online.
- Integrated Faxing from within Office 2003: Send faxes directly from any Office 2003 application, such as Word, Excel, Access, or PowerPoint by opening the File > Send Internet Fax menu item. Requires a simple activation.
- Configurable Fax Header: The outbound fax header is fully user-configurable allowing users to hide or display the transmission date & time, page number, total pages, sending machine identifier, receiving machine identifier, and free text.
- Enhanced Privacy: Our 'delete fax after completion' feature means that no copies of your faxes are retained on our servers. This is important if you are faxing credit card details, patient-identifying information, or other privacy-sensitive information.
- Automatic Reports: In addition to usage details, which can be viewed online, Interfax can automatically send hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly usage reports, in TXT, HTML, CSV, or XML format to an administrator by email. This allows you to assign activity to cost centers and perform your own cost calculations.
- Two-Click Resubmission of Failed Faxes: Has one of your faxes failed and/or do you wish to send it again? Simply click 'Resend' from outgoing fax queue in your online screens. A pop-up screen gives you the opportunity to fix the destination number. A second click and the fax is on its way.
- Wide Variety of Supported Documents: Interfax supports a wide variety of documents for faxing. All common Microsoft Office documents are supported, as well as Acrobat PDF, and others.
- User Management: Hold any number of users in your account. Each user has his own username and password, and can log in to see his activity. Additionally, one or more administrators can be defined, who can manage other users' preferences.
