GTC fax-broadcast: information about the regulatory framework
According to ยง 7 UWG (Act Against Unfair Practices) broadcasting of advertisment by fax or e-mail is only allowed upon customer agreement. Furthermore you have to give the recipient the opportunity to remove his name from the list at the basic rates (selection without expensive service numbers). Before transmission you have to check whether your fax is a matter of advertising. If so: Did the recipient agree? In order to use fax broadcast as a cheap and up-to-date medium for advertising, we recommend to obtain as many as possible permissions of your target group.

Fax-Robinsonlist:
Recipients, who don`t want to receive advertising by fax can register their name for free on the so called Robinsonlist provided by the BITKOM. Reliable fax service provider synchronise the list of recipients with the Robinsonlist for free. GTC compares automatically your list and the Robinsonlist at every broadcast. The relevant numbers are highlighted in order to simplify post-editing.
